Intended to upload this last month but my computer crashed.

Taking a break from Gon & Killua(!) with an alternative conclusion to the final Gaara/Naruto scene in episode 80. The Asura in me demanded it. I have an incurable weakness for characters that not merely contend with but can barely distinguish themselves from their internal demons, real or emotional. Especially those that suffer isolation due in part to this circumstance. And an even greater weakness for character combinations which can resolve this normally incurable affliction, as reality could certainly use more of that.

Obviously I don't take credit for the background; it's just a screencap lightly redone in photoshop. My weakness as an artist is impatience. It amounts to simplicity in my drawings, and makes those aspects which I have little interest in doing that much more impossible to get done. But it is incredibly difficult to make a simple pencil sketch look good in electronic form, so by some miracle I forced myself to color this in Photoshop with the mouse. It's still imperfect... but, hey, perfect is dull. I'm trying to take my artwork a little more seriously, though, so it's a learning process.

On a side note -
EVERYONE WHO'S OBSESSED WITH NARUTO SHOULD BE WATCHING HUNTER X HUNTER! T_T
HxH is about three years Naruto's senior and, though unique, there are a lot of similarities (even excluding the obvious voice talent ties). Our fandom's fic-ers and artists need love, dammit. And who the h*ll can live without a Killua?! (Or Kurapica or Hisoka or whatever your bent...) /ot
